TrueDepth Camera and Face Data

Our app Wako includes a "Smile Mission" feature that uses Apple's TrueDepth camera through the ARKit framework to detect whether you are smiling. This feature is used solely as a wake-up task to help you dismiss your alarm.                                                      

* What data is accessed: When you perform the Smile Mission, the app accesses two facial expression coefficients (mouthSmileLeft and mouthSmileRight) provided by ARKit in real time. These are anonymous numerical values (0.0–1.0) indicating smile intensity. No facial images, 3D face geometry, biometric identifiers, or other facial data are accessed.

* How the data is used: The smile coefficients are compared against a threshold in your device's memory to determine whether you are smiling.  Once a smile is confirmed, the camera session is immediately stopped. The data is used for no other purpose.

 * Storage: No face data of any kind is stored on your device or anywhere else. The only information saved is a generic task completion record (the task name "Smile" and the completion timestamp), stored locally on your device.

 * Sharing: Face data is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared with any third party, including us. All processing occurs entirely on your device.

* Retention: Face data is not retained. It exists only in your device's temporary memory during the brief moment the Smile Mission is active  and is discarded immediately upon completion.

Consent and Data Collection

We prioritize your privacy and do not gather personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, phone number, or address) without your explicit consent for the normal operation of our Apps. If you choose to provide us with personal information (e.g., by contacting us via email), you consent to our collection and use of that information for the functionality of our Apps and Services.

We may require your personal data to address support requests. Additionally, we may inform you about our services, including new features, special offers, and updates. Users have the option to opt out of such communications.

Third-Party Analytics
